Initial Consultation During this 1-1/2 hour private session we meet you to discuss your health history, and fitness goals. Included is a posture assessment and introductory workout session to begin developing your personalized pilates program. Pilates Equipment Training Quick-Start Program
The Centerworks ® Pilates Quick-Start Program is designed for healthy individuals who would like to get a jump start on developing a workout plan and move into our Open Gym - supervised equipment training program. You get four group Reformer classes to familiarize you with a basic workout program that you can learn quickly, feel confident with, and then graduate into Open Gym workouts. Beginner Matwork Classes - 8 classes The Beginner Matwork class is designed to be an educational experience, for healthy students unfamiliar with the Pilates system. Learn how to use the body correctly, and move more efficiently. Say good-bye to your slump, and hello to your tall. (Many clients see a change in height from practicing the Pilates principles.)
Learn the basic 20-22 Mat exercises with adjustments so you can work at your own pace. Challenge yourself as you gain more strength and a better understanding of how your body moves.
By the end of the session you will be prepared to move into a basic/intermediate level class, and safely continue practicing what you've learned at home.
Topics covered during the 4 week Beginner Matwork Class includes;
- breathing techniques;
- posture improvement;
- whole-body awareness;how to find & use your abdominal muscles more effectively;
- how to better support your back;
- tips for reducing neck & shoulder tension;
- improving your balance, control & core strength; and,
- increase total body flexibility.

Personal Training Starter Pack - 8 sessions
Recommended for participants who need flexible scheduling, or prefer learning in a one-on-one environment. You get a 1 ½ hour Initial Consultation plus a package of 7 additional one-hour private sessions.
Required for participants recovering from injury, accident, or with other medical concerns to ensure development of a safe and appropriate workout program. For best results, appointments should be scheduled 2-3 days a week. All sessions are by appointment on a space available basis. What to Wear for your Pilates Workouts:
Wear socks or be barefoot. Baggy sweats or loose fitting clothing make it difficult to correct your body. Help us help you and dress appropriately using the tips below.
To best assist you, women are encouraged to wear exercise tights or bike shorts, and a tight fitting shirt or leotard. Long hair should be pulled up so that you can lie on your back comfortably.
Men are encourage to wear compression under shorts, bicycle shorts & T-shirt or tank.
